Sacred Heart School, promoting the religious formation of youth, is a Child Care, Preschool, and Kindergarten through grade 12 Catholic school that celebrated a 100 year Anniversary in the fall of 2012. Located in East Grand Forks, Minnesota, Sacred Heart gives students the opportunity to choose their own accomplishments and create their own success stories. Along the way, we nurture and embolden them as they grow mentally, physically, and spiritually — forming mind, body, and soul.
Established in 1912, Sacred Heart is a beautiful and welcoming campus. Our two-story school building covers 112,000 sq. feet. of downtown real estate and is connected by a gathering space to Sacred Heart Church. In June 2018 the school broke ground on a new seven classroom elementary addition to accommodate a growing elementary and reclaim space in the high school.
Here, students in grades K-12 come from a variety of religious and cultural backgrounds from across the region in both North Dakota and Minnesota in order to receive top-notch guidance and instruction in a family-first learning environment. The same is true for the youngsters enrolled in our safe and loving preschool and Child Care program.
From elementary through high school, students of Sacred Heart are immersed in the arts and receive hands-on access to the latest technology. With class sizes averaging at 18, students have the opportunity to lead and to follow — in the classroom, on the field, and in their own neighborhood. They also never run out of one-on-one time with teachers.
At Sacred Heart, students are nurtured and always feel at home. They are encouraged to follow their passion to explore and develop individual talents and skills. We believe it is the entire experience that matters most. Our students are more than just book-smart. They are whole and well-rounded. Graduates are responsible and ready young adults who are socially aware, world-savvy, and community-minded.
