The Foreign Language student will be able to communicate effectively with native speakers in the areas of speaking, writing, and understanding.  He/She will also have acquired a sensitive appreciation of the culture and diversity of other peoples and customs.  The student will accept others of a different race or nationality more freely, thereby diminishing prejudices of people unlike themselves.  Consequently, the foreign language student will become a better Christian and a more solid member of society.
