What are the Early Childhood Programs?
Sacred Heart School’s Early Learning Center programs, Little Angels and Little Saints, are a wonderful extension of the school program with the purpose of preparing children for school in a safe, fun, and structured Catholic program. The children will be exposed to literature, music, letters, numbers, and hands-on activities to prepare them for school.
What is Little Angels?
Little Angels is a program for three and four-year-olds held twice a week (AM or PM sessions on Tuesday and Thursday). Children must be age three by September 1 which conforms to Minnesota rules for starting Kindergarten. Please note that North Dakota requires students to be five by August 1 to start Kindergarten. Children must be fully potty trained. The curriculum prepares students for socialization in a classroom environment.
What is Little Saints?
Little Saints is a program for four and five-year-olds held three times a week (AM or PM sessions on Monday, Wednesday, Friday). Children must be age four by September 1 which conforms to Minnesota rules for starting Kindergarten. Please note that North Dakota requires students to be five by August 1 to start Kindergarten. Children must be fully potty trained. Curriculum prepares students for Kindergarten.
Dates and time?
The morning sessions run from 8:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. The afternoon session runs from 12:15 to 3:15.
Section Preference and Admissions
Placement in the program is according to the admission policy/procedures. If you wish your child in the morning or afternoon session, you may request your preferred section for enrollment on the registration form. You are not guaranteed your request. The program gives preference based on the admission policy. After that the date of the registration is received is used to prioritize enrollment. Families are encouraged register early to secure their priority placement. Registration opens in January of each year and priority placement is determined by registrations received by March 1st. Openings may remain after this date.
