Music (K-6)

Piano (1)

In the spacious music room, students wear headsets plugged into an electronic piano lab. This allows them to practice piano music individually but in a group setting. The teacher can then tune in via headset and monitor individual progress while a second group of students quietly studies theory in the same classroom.

Sacred Heart School is unique in its offering of music classes DAILY for students in grades K-6. What makes us special is that students not only learn music theory and about a wide variety of musical instruments, but they also learn to play a few of them — gaining a basic understanding of the instrument.

We encourage you to visit our youtube channel to view a variety of musical performances from our students.

Our 12 station 5-octave piano lab system allows them to practice music individually but in a group setting. The stations are connected to the teacher’s piano and all stations include headsets with a microphone for individual communication between the student and teacher. K, 1-3, and 4-6 music programs are held multiple times a year — and family, friends, and grandparents all gather in the school’s Klinkhammer Auditorium to hear what their students have been learning.
