Our Eagle archers had another great showing on Saturday at the Hawley Invitational. The team was paced by Grace Loeslie and Naomi Lee. Grace shot her personal best 264, taking 2nd place in the middle school girls division and was 4th best girl overall. Naomi Lee shot 260 taking 3rd place in high school girls and was 8th best girl over all. Cole Schmidt shot his personal best 225, 23 points better than previous shoots. Markson Loeslie shot his personal best 200, 55 points better than previous shoots.

Congratulations to Will Rohrich for placing 5th at the North Dakota State Wrestling tournament, the highest of any member on the team. Grant Sullivan and Will, both had tremendous seasons, in which they went to the state tournament as individuals and as a team. They helped the Grand Forks Central Knights place 15th as a team in the North Dakota tournament and both will be highly ranked entering next season. Great work guys!

James Votava took first place in the United States Tennis Association championship in Fargo this past weekend and second place last month at the USTA in Grand Forks.

The boys basketball team split two games over the long weekend. They beat Red Lake County Friday night and fell to Roseau on Saturday. The boys played well and with lots of energy in both games. Friday night showed how dangerous Sacred Heart can be entering the playoffs with 5 players: Oscar Ortiz, Jack Gerber, Brenden Bethke, Jordan Tomkinson and John Fontaine in double figures. On Saturday Jordan put the Eagles up by 1 with 5 seconds to play but a foul called on the other end with no time remaining gave Roseau 2 free throws and the win. Sacred Heart is back in action tonight at Goodridge playing the Chargers.

The girls basketball team fell to the BGMR Gators at home in their last regular season game. It was a tough loss, but the team is ready to work hard in practice and bounce back for playoffs. Leading the Eagles was Katelyn Rudolph with 16 points and 7 rebounds. Jessica Remer added 11 points and 7 rebounds, Maddi Mitzel scored 10 points, Sydney Lloyd grabbed 9 rebounds and Ivy Edwards dished out 5 assists.
