Parent Notes & Reminders

There is NO SCHOOL MONDAY, JANUARY 22nd for STAFF DEVELOPMENT.

Congrats to our 4th – 8th grade qualifiers for the Geography Bee! 4th Grade: Aryan Bhutani, Parker Bernhoft and Taylor Field; 5th Grade: Amrit Bhutani and Alex Keller; 6th Grade: Nathan Holthaus and Sam Bevelacqua; 7th Grade: Alex Hart, Lauren Tran and Noah Thompson; 8th grade: Kannon Knutsvig, Zach Stocker and Diego Torres.

Christian Service Learning class has designed a fundraiser for teens in foster care. There is a table outside of the high school office with large jars labeled with grades 6-12. The point of the game is to get the most money in your jar, but there’s a catch! For any change that adds up to one dollar placed in the jar, a one dollar bill cancels that dollar of change out. So, to make another class’ total go down, add dollar bills to their jar and lots of coins to your own! The money will be counted every day at the end of the day to keep track of where each class stands. The winning class gets a free sweatpants day. Also, there will be a bin under the table where you can donate lightly used clothing that teenagers in foster care would be interested in wearing!  The seniors are in the lead with positive $5.01, Mrs. Santee’s 6th grade is positive 25¢, 10th grade has -18¢, 8th grade -82¢, 7th grade has -95¢ the juniors are -$12 and the staff, Mrs. Bergum’s 6th grade and 9th grade have empty jars.
