Parent Notes & Reminders

There is NO SCHOOL MONDAY, JANUARY 22nd for STAFF DEVELOPMENT.

 

Sacred Heart will be hosting two fundraisers to help send five students on a pilgrimage to Rome!

Monday, January 22nd

5:00 - 9:00 PM

This Pizza Ranch Community Impact Fundraiser will have students and volunteers will be on hand bussing tables for donations! Let Pizza Ranch KNOW you support “SACRED HEART” when you are ordering and Pizza Ranch will donate 20% of your order. Good on dine in, delivery, or pick up!

Congrats to our Knights of Columbus Essay Contest Winners! (Pictured Above). Registration for 2018-19

Registration packets for currently enrolled families went out January 8th. Additional registration forms are available in the school office or by contacting Jen Koller at jkoller@sacredheartegf.net. Families who register by March 1st can save $100 on their registration fee. After this date registration will go from $100 to $200. Early registration helps us with class scheduling, planning, and hiring.

 

Preschool or Kindergarten for 2018 - Do you have a younger child who would be new to Sacred Heart in the fall for preschool or Kindergarten? Families can simply add their youngest child to the bottom of the form. For preschool and any other section where there might be an enrollment limit the school will defer to its Admission policy. Parent Help needed for upcoming Open Houses
 

 

Our open houses are meant to be relaxed, fun, casual, and low pressure events. Tour guide training will be provided prior to the event, but help is needed greeting, checking families in, and meeting families.

 We're looking for current parents to help with tours and greet families as part of our Open House helpers.

  • Preschool - Jan. 15th
  • 6-12th - Jan 16th
  • Preschool through 12 - Jan 23rd
  • Open Houses start at 6:00 and are usually wrapped up in an hour.

If you are interested in helping on a particular night please contact Jen Koller at jkoller@sacredheartegf.net or at 218-773-0877 - ext. 182. Jen can help you find a place that works for you!

 

Athletic Club Fundraiser

 

You are invited to the Athletic Club Hoop-A-Thon Family Fun Night January 20th from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Sacred Heart.

 

Registration includes entrance into the shoot out tournament (two participants included!). $75 maximum family registration is available. There will be Cash Bingo (Cards are $5 each, 10 games and one black out bingo for a $250 cash prize) and games for the kids. 

 

This event is open to families, all ages welcome, bring grandma and grandpa too! Dinner, Ice Cream and Concessions. Registration is available online HERE.

 
 

Activities & Athletics Update

Click the "NOTIFY ME" link in the upper right hand side to manage your sport notification subscription preferences. If the school changes the schedule you'll get an update!

 

From SH Athletics: We are in need of people to fill many open spots for basketball events at the school. Fulfill your athletic volunteer hours or work to fulfill some school commitment responsibilities! We are about halfway through the basketball seasons and your help is so very much appreciated.

Good luck to Tara Walski and the KnightRider Gymnastics team as they travel to Fargo today. Dismissal will be 12:30.
The KnightRider swim team is traveling to Bemidji today with a 12:30 dismissal, good luck Levi Dallum.

The boys basketball games vs. Climax-Fisher from yesterday have been postponed to February 15th.

 

The boys basketball team beat the Ponies 78-43 at home Tuesday night. The boys played great team basketball. Great job by the bench lead by Ian Evavold with 16 points, Jordan Tomkinson scored 20 points and Jack Gerber 12.

 

The girls basketball game with Win E Mac was canceled yesterday and will not be rescheduled.

 

On Tuesday night, the girls basketball team fell to WAO 45-51. Eagles were a step behind on defense and their shots were not falling, but they kept working hard. Leading the Eagles was Maddi Mitzel with 16 points and Jessica Remer with 14 points and 7 rebounds.

 

Volleyball Grades 7-12 -- Join the UMC Golden Eagles for two different volleyball camp opportunities to learn from Head Coach Sarah Rauen, Assistant Coach Anna Morgan, and the Golden Eagle Players! Skills include: passing, setting, serving, attacking, along with competitions and play! January 21st & February 11th. More information HERE.
