RE Parent Information

ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL
|

Parents are responsible for providing transportation for their children immediately after RE classes.
Students in Gr.1-5 should use the elementary school entrance for arrival and dismissal. Please use the side street entrance (bus approach) on 4th Street to drop off and pick up children, proceed from north to south. Parents should stay to the right or use the diagonal parking space. Please proceed slowly and with caution. Children in grades 1 and 2 should be picked up at the classroom by parent or older sibling. Please do this promptly as teachers have children waiting also. The entrance on 2nd Ave will NOT be used for arrival or dismissal due to safety reasons.
High school students please use the entrance closest to the church.
Teachers, aides, and helpers should park in the parking lot on 3rd Street.

INCLEMENT WEATHER

When the need to cancel RE classes becomes obvious (due to inclement weather), the following procedures will be used.
- Contact radio stations KNOX, KCNN, and TV stations KVLY and WDAZ to make cancellation announcements.
- Contact public schools (Wednesday) and ask them to announce to the students cancellation of classes (if there is enough time).
- Each Sunday school teacher/aide will try to contact his/her students.
Please listen to your local radio stations or channel 8 or 11 for announcements
